Why Does Speaking Up Matter
Speaking up is essential for learning, safety, and positive staff experiences. NHS and CQC guidance now mandates that all healthcare providers must have access to Freedom to Speak Up Guardians. We help you meet these standards - and create workplaces where concerns are raised, heard, and acted upon.
What We Do
FTSU Guardians support workers to speak up when they feel that they are unable to do so by other routes. They ensure that people who speak up are thanked, the issues they raise are responded to, and that the person speaking up receives regular feedback on the actions taken. Speaking up is not just about raising issues or concerns but also listening, learning and suggesting ways to improve processes. It is a positive step in ensuring a positive culture, as Freedom to Speak Up specialists we strongly advice organisations to have the Speak Up arrangement in place to comply with CQC standards. We offer a template job description of competencies, requirements and details of what is expected from the role.
